Micro Grids powered by renewable energy sources are the ideal solution to bring resilient energy access to communities and businesses throughout the country. Furthermore, economic incentives such as the Investment Tax Credit, the Production Tax Credit, feed-in tariffs, net metering, and state renewable portfolio standards can be successful at bringing renewable energy generation online.

A Micro Grid is merely a smaller scale version of the larger electrical grid that powers our country. The electrical grid exists to supply our electricity demand, connecting electrical supply to electrical demand with the transmission and distribution system. Micro grids works in the exact same way, just for a smaller geographic area, like a couple of buildings or a local community. To meet the electricity demands of its users, a Micro Grid must have a generation source. Traditionally, the electricity supplied to Micro Grids has historically been from “behind the meter” fossil fuel generators – gas-powered generators, for example. However, with the rapid advancement in renewable energy technologies, today’s Micro grids are being designed to supply electricity with a combination of various renewable generation sources, and can be combined with versatile energy storage solutions.

Several forms of energy can be considered sustainable. In addition to the most commonly considered sources—wind, solar, and hydro—there’s also bioenergy and geothermal energy. This type of energy is not only naturally replenished, but it causes no harm to the environment, as there are no greenhouse gasses or other pollutants emitted. These energy sources are the best sources of energy for our homes and businesses because they are not only renewable but are also frequently developed closer to the end-user than are traditional power plants.

    The JouleBox® Power Plant by ECO-GEN Energy uses patented technologies and proven components by using the power of the sun, wind  and magnetics to provide clean, emission-free, electricity 24/7/365. Each generator provides 624,150 kWh/yr of continuous reliable electricity (525,600 rated up to 657,000 kWh maximum) which can also be configured to create large scaled substations of distributed power.

    Each Facility is installed in a 24’ high SCIP Building to withstand Category 5 Hurricanes/Cyclones. For a 10 MW Facility, there are 5 of the 2 MW JouleBox units inside.  The ideal location is next to the Distribution Sub-Station or on the Primary Customer’s property.

    AWE CO2 Scrubbing

    AWE EXTRACTOR uses compressed air collection with multiple removable containers

    • The removable containers contain activated carbon which has properties where the CO2 is trapped and absorbed into activated carbon materials.

    • The “cleaned” activated transportable carbon container is then available for reuse.

    • The extracted CO2 will qualify for carbon credits and along with the non-release applications generate added revenue that more than covers any cost of the extraction equipment and processes.
